Where nature meets art, and famous artists come to play! Join us for a magical four-day journey through the world of art, nature, and imagination. Each day, children will step into the shoes of a legendary artist—reimagining an reinterpreting their work through playful, hands-on activities using materials from both the garden and the studio. Perfect for curious creators of all abilities and ages, This week's Children's Art Club is designed to spark joy, collaboration, and creative confidence.
Over four fun-filled days, children will explore the playful spirit of famous artists—Andy Warhol, Niki de Saint Phalle, Paul Klee, and Agnes Martin—through hands-on activities that blend painting, sculpture, building, weaving, and more. Using natural and recycled materials from the garden and beyond, kids will create colourful prints, joyful clay mosaics, imaginative landscapes, and abstract woven collages.
Each day introduces a new art form and technique, encouraging creativity, experimentation, and self-expression. Workshops are designed to be inclusive and adaptable for different ages and abilities, with activities that can be simplified or extended as needed. Activities will take place indoors or outdoors (weather permitting). The workshops are a joyful, sensory-rich experience where kids connect with nature, explore big ideas through art, and have a whole lot of fun in the process!

About the Artist
Sofia Sefraoui is an artist and an art charity professional. She also launched her own business “Cheeky Monkey Art Club” in March 2025, where she runs workshops for P1-P7 children. She graduated in 2016 with a Master of Fine Art from The Glasgow School of Art. Sofia’s artistic journey first started with drawing and painting. She later expanded her horizons into 3D techniques and sculpture. She’s happy to call herself a multi-media artist! Her adventure working with children began in 2013 during an internship at an orphanage in Cameroon, where she led arts and crafts workshops. It was an amazing experience that sparked her love for facilitating arts and crafts workshops with kids. After graduating from GSA in 2016, she had the pleasure of volunteering for various organizations in Glasgow, such as Kinning Park Complex, Home-Start South, Kueche, and A Moment’s Peace Theatre Company. She also did workshops for children, young people, and families at Pollokshields Quad Garden and Milk, as a self-employed workshop facilitator, which has been incredibly rewarding! Sofia is excited to teach your kids a variety of fun and age-appropriate art techniques!

Children will need to bring their own packed lunch, as well as and an outdoor coat and sunscreen. We hope to get outside into our beautiful grounds to explore as often as possible, so please pack raincoats as well as dressing in suitable clothing and footwear. We might get a little messy indoors too.
Suitability
The club is for all children with a love of art and crafts. Whilst Art Club is a fun, safe, supportive environment, it can be busy and noisy. We’re not a registered childcare provider and as such don’t have additional support beyond our artists and play workers. If you would like to discuss accessibility and/or attend as a carer for your child please give us a call.
Low Income Places
If you receive benefits such as income-based Council Tax, are unemployed or unable to work, these tickets are for you. There are two free places available for each session. We ask that you select one session per week, per child, so that we can share these places amongst low income families.
