Join us for a week immersed in a wide range of explorative art and crafts activities!
WEEK 6> Mon 7 - Wed 9 Aug
Join us for an additional three days of art packed activities this summer.
Children will need to bring their own packed lunch (and sunhat/sunscreen/raincoat if needed).
We hope to get outside into our beautiful grounds to explore as often as possible.
The club is for children aged 5-12 years and will run from 9am – 3.30pm
(drop off from 9am-9.30am, pick up 3.30pm sharp)
The club costs £30 per day, this includes the provision of a wide range of art materials, refreshments, and snack.
Please select the days that you wish to book, and for how many, then proceed to fill in your children’s details.
Please note that we are not a registered childcare provider, and we do not have additional support beyond our Artists and Creative Playworkers.
The club is made up of a series of creative art activity workshops. If your child does not enjoy art, or a busy environment, please look to book them into a more suitable workshop. We want all of our children to get the most from their art club workshops, in a safe and happy environment.
FREE PLACES -
There are 4 free places available each day for families with low income, such as those in receipt of Universal Credit. If this applies to you, and would benefit your family, please add your preferred dates to your basket and proceed to fill in the child's details.
We suggest to make use of one or two days per child and limit this to 5 days per child over the 4 weeks, so that other families also have the opportunity to benefit from the sessions. Any additional bookings will be removed.
These few places are much needed, so please be considerate when booking so that these can be shared amongst other children too.
*We reserve the right to enquire which benefit you are in receipt of.
MONDAY 7 & TUESDAY 8 AUGUST
With Artist Tom Painter
We will be drawing fast and loose with mixed activities over the two days. We will focus our energy on having fun in the moment of creation. We will learn how to turn accidents into art, how to turn mistakes into masterpieces, and how that everyone is an artist. These sessions can be booked together or as stand alone sessions.
WEDNESDAY 9 AUGUST
With artist Abbie Lois
Printing With Nature
We will start the day by exploring the garden for shapes and outlines; identifying plants, animals, insects and trees for inspiration to inform blind drawings and a series of colourful prints in the afternoon.
After snack we will head back out to the garden to forage for natural materials for printing. Learning different methods of print-making we will be looking at objects as stencils, at textures, relief print and even printing from the objects themselves.
We will go on to create simple folded concertina books to take home as a reminder of the day.
