POTTERY WEEK
Lynsey Smiles has always had a passion for clay and creativity and loves to share her skills. She is keen to inspire the makers of tomorrow by supporting them to explore their own ideas and help them realise them in clay. She enjoys making whimsical models and practical pottery using a variety of materials and techniques and loves nothing more than a cup of tea out of a hand thrown mug.
Every effort will be made to make sure that all students enjoy a fair share of time on the wheel.
Students attending the full week may be able to underglaze their peices to a matte finish.
Any students attending individual days only will still be able to have their pieces fired to take home. These will be fired to bisque, in order for children to be able to paint these at home if they choose to.
TIP: If painting bisqueware at home, we recommend using acrylic paint.
All final firings and bisqueware will be able to pick up approx 2 weeks after the end of the club. We will send emails out once the pieces are ready, with any available dates/timeslots for pick up.
