Week 2 sees our artsts in to host mixed art and craft acitvities.
This will be broken down into the daily activities soon once the order of activities has been confirmed.
Monday 18 July
Pictish Stone Drawing
Looking at images of pictish stones, we will explore surfaces, textures and ancient imagery, we will be making drawings based on animals, thinking about the carved patterns and experimental drawing techniques.
We will start by collecting textures through making rubbings using the graphite frottage technique, from surfaces in the room and outside to explore experimental ways of making a graphite drawing. We will then learn to make free-hand 'drawings' out of card and use these to create stencils which we will develop into monoprints.
